Rick
I am the author of this site and its namesake. I moved to Ohio after wedding the woman on the right and worked for a small architecture firm for the first four years here.

Currently I work for DSW (as in Designer Shoe Warehouse) as an ITSM System Admin. I spend most of my days working with CA's Service Desk and Clarity applications, but the team I work with allows me the opportunities to interact with many aspects of the business and IT.

Since this is my site, I'll let the rest of it do the talking for now.
Lauren
Lauren
Lauren is an amazing person. I met her back in 2002 at the University of Richmond where she spent four years doing her undergrad. In 2006 we got married at a cute winery in Virginia and moved to Columbus, Ohio so she could do her Master's.

These days, Lauren spends her time working for The Ohio State University and pursuing her PhD in Educational Psychology. Check out her website at lauren-hensley.net to get in contact with her.

I found a smart one.

Things I like
I am a huge fan of movies, especially ones that make you think. | Likewise, I am perhaps overly fond of the Science Fiction genre of TV shows. | Having grown up camping as a boy scout, I prefer a tent and fire in the middle of no where to planned campsites and latrines. | I rather enjoy most Greek yogurt. | I have fun listening to people's perceptions of what a technology is, especially if they're trying to sell it (a la cell phone sales). | The idea of travel is right up my ally, but the cost of it usually stops the boat (no pun intended). | My wife. | Volcanos; there's just something about them that just blows my mind. | Writing for no reason, like this web site--I mean, who reads this, anyway?
Things I do
– Depending on the day or week, I may call myself an avid photographer.
– I'm always up for a good board game, so long as it requires thought.
– I like to experiment in the kitchen, and do learn from my failures (which aren't as many as one would think).
– When the mood strikes, I've been known to devour books (figuratively, mind you).
– I've spent many years declaring myself a graphic designer, but it's really just a hobby.
– I believe in God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit.
– I accept that I make mistakes, but I am also quick to take responsibility for them.
– I support those developers that make my life better and or easier.
– I use a MacBook Pro, have an iPad, use a PC every day and make calls from an Android; all devices have their uses.
